The St. Jude Showcase of Dogs is growing fast into
one of the premier canine events in North America and is definitely
a family event for the entire Mid-South area. There will be three
days of AKC All-Breed Dog Shows, Agility Competition and Obedience,
as well as three days of Full Flyball Tournament action, Oct. 10 to
12 at the Agricenter in Memphis, Tennessee.
Since its inception in 1995, the St. Jude Showcase
of Dogs has raised more than $200,000 for the children of St. Jude
Children's Hospital, founded by the late entertainer Danny
Thomas that treats children with catastrophic diseases, regardless
of ability to pay.
Tickets will be available each day at the show: $8
adult, $5 children 12 and under or $20 for a family (two adults and
unlimited children.) Wristbands for Kid Zone activities: $5.
On Saturday and Sunday, there will be an AKC Canine
Good Citizen test, the very popular Super Dog and Super Puppy
Contest, along with numerous demonstrations and canine
entertainment, plenty of breed-specific booths, judges'
seminars and special participation by the Memphis and Shelby County
Veterinary Association.
