Harry Potter's fictional godfather-wizard, Sirius reappears to support Harry on his final journey, in this epic series that has spanned seven books and reached tens of millions of global readers.

Sirius, named for the Dog Star, was the last heir of the House of Black, a once notable pure-blood wizarding family whose members were all named for stars, constellations and galaxies. He became a prominent character in the third book, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, where he first appeared as a black dog.

In Harry Potter books, each of the wizards and witches are capable of turning into a particular animal and back at will. The transformation into an 'Animagus' is extremely difficult and can go horribly wrong.

Animagi can assume only one animal form, and that form is not chosen by them. Rather, it reflects a witch or wizard's inner nature. The series features several Animagi, most famously Professor McGonagall who spends much of the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as a cat.

Harry's best friend-witch, Hermione Granger also turns herself into a cat.

In this book, Harry passes from childhood into manhood, wondering in the end what kind of reckless godfather he might become to young Teddy Lupin.

But, I do not wish to give away the plot. I know many people wanted to tell me the ending, but I threatened them. I told them I would sit on them if they gave me so much as the slightest hint.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows starts off, as usual, with family. Family is very important to Harry Potter and the Weasley's. It is a slow-read through many chapters, but then becomes a real page-turner to the end. And what an ending! Wow!

Readers who love animals and nature will appreciate J.K. Rowling's very descriptive style of writing. 'She gives an illustrator a lot to work with,' said the book's illustrator, Mary GrandPr?©. 'Each story is packed full of rich visual descriptions of the atmosphere, the mood, the setting, and all the different creatures and people.'

By midway through the novel, I could not put this book down. How dare my eyes get sleepy because it was very late at night? How dare my lunch break be over so quickly? How dare life and responsibilities creep into my existence?

I hope you enjoy reading this final book as much as I did. Nice job Rowling - this was another exciting adventure.

In a few months, I will come back and give you a full review. But, for now, please read this wonderful and final chapter of the Harry Potter series so you may be ready for the review.

First, I would like to say, not all witches and wizards can transform into animals. In fact those who can are born that way and must be registered if they can do it, and that ability is very, very rare.

It was just the Marauders that were able to 'learn' to transform and that was not only even more rare and unlikely -- but highly illegal and only possible because they were the elite of gifted wizards. Peter was an exception but his more gifted friends helped him and even that took significantly longer to learn....Lupin of course was bitten and didn't learn to transform he had no choice. Also, Hermione didn't turn into a cat.....well not in this sense anyway...she just halfway turned furry like a cat because she accidentally put cat hair into a potion when she thought she was using human hair. The reason it didn't actually turn her into a cat is because that potion (poly juice potion) doesn't work on animals, so she couldn't actually be turned into a cat.

You are correct that you cannot choose your form as an animal if you are one of the few that do transform. It does reflect something of your inner self, but you should probably note two key points....
1. Your animal form -- if you have such and it is again rare that you do - has to be the same as your Patronous form, which only advanced wizards can produce.
2. Your Patronous form can change in the case of great emotional change

And though many characters have constellation names, the author was choosing most of those names in relation to their Greek personalities and not necessarily because of the stars.
